As part of this Secret Pittsburgh class in the fall of 2023, I participated in creating a podcast season centered on unique places in Pittsburgh. After visiting sites including Frick Park, Carrie Blast Furnaces National Historic Landmark, and Rodef Shalom Synagogue, my classmates and I formed small groups to create two podcast episodes 15-20 minutes in length using audio field recordings, interviews, and thorough research. I served as the audio editor for my group, managing the field recording, editing, and mixing of our episodes about the historic August Wilson House in the Hill District.
