My time at Pitt opened my ears to the wonder of audio storytelling. I’ve always been passionate about stories—the way you can get lost in them, be shaped by them—but in the spring of 2023, I took a class on narrative audio storytelling. And it changed my life. I was immediately hooked on writing for the ear. It engaged my senses and ignited a need in me for more. It allowed me to discover the most authentic version of myself that I could put out into the world, blending my lifelong passions for writing and sound. I strongly believe that capturing stories through sound, as one of my professors shared in this quote, unleashes a powerful force of imagination.
